I'd really like to know how many of this community are willing to engage in conversations within the comments? Was this a bad idea, or could I be right in this being one of the cornerstone sections for us to get to know each other?
I thought about posting some basic rules...but decided no.
The way I want to approach this is by working with the personalities of the community. To see how we all act and encourage one another. I believe that if we all keep the foundational perspective that we have Life of Fiction as the common ground, the rest will flow without much trouble.
...I'll rely on the unspoken rules of being 'humane' to rule the conversations for now.
Lol it can be challenging to get comments. Sometimes I see the most 'popular' things I make get about 100 to 1,000 views (not a lot) one or two likes (at most) and zero comments. That's when I figure they're all bots. But these are usually videos anyways on platforms I know you've expressed disdain about. My writing hardly gets comments, views, or likes. Hopefully this starts up the conversations you're looking for. My only question is, how should I pronounce this? My head is automatically saying "What The Fudge" (of course) but my brain is thinking... only Fudge is spelled out, so should I call it "Double You Tee Fudge"? 😂
I wish more people should get out of their shell and comment their thoughts on things. While I do think there are "bots" out there I also believe that the majority of the accounts out there are still actual users and I may be deceived in that. But the point I am trying to make is just what Jaime is trying to to portray, and that is that people, you are more than you think you are; you matter.
They don't want to be seen, or think they don't have anything of value to say ...or maybe they do, but don't want to share it.
There are a few people specifically in this community that I'd love to have in our conversations, because I've had interesting conversations with them before, and they think outside the box...but they might not have the time.
hehe, didn't think of that when I decided on WTFudge.
My biggest concern was making sure people didn't think I was saying the other phrase. That wouldn't be good.
As for comments, it's kinda been my specialty on the internet for a couple decades. I stopped making comments as regularly as I used to, but I always comment if I feel to. Especially of I have something that can add value. A few famous bloggers called me the "King of Comments" for a while...and I know of one article you can look at, that still exists (and is still getting comments) after 10 years.
It's called: "How to Write Comments That Stand Out (for the Right Reasons)"
by Kevin J. Duncan updated on Jan 3, 2024, but the article is from 2014.
I'm part of that article, but what you might like to read is the comments section. It's literally 50 TIMES the size of the article. Roughly 50 comments are me and 'the guys'.
It goes to show how comments can (and IMO, SHOULD) work.
That's what I want to do here -- engage in conversations and thoughts.
I look forward to seeing how this works. You know I'm part of another community that actively encourages comments. It does work. That are people and opinions to be shared!
I feel like I tend to comment my thoughts anyway on the posts I have gotten around to reading,😬 but yes. I would love to work with the community hereto solve and answer questions we have about life, the universe or really anything that comes up.

I think it is brilliant. People do like to have engaging comments and I'm betting you'll create a safe space.
No rounded corners or padded clothing here, my dear.
I'm more for a welcoming and 'open' space to have conversations.

I'm with you, my boy.
Not sure if I count here, and I've known you for a year or two.
...I could stomach the association a bit longer, in public.
....thanks?

Most people, from what I've seen , are 'lurkers'.
They don't want to be seen, or think they don't have anything of value to say ...or maybe they do, but don't want to share it.

How about it, Kummer, RiverFang, and User51?

I faintly remember that conversation.
...isn't that where Kevin insinuated that I was a...how did he put it?
"...a figment of Jaime's imagination"??
Ouch.
Yeah. That wasn't nice of him, but you remember, he's apologized to you personally MANY times since then.
...AND he learned his lesson.
Chuck, you are as real as I can imagine. That's pretty real to me.
I'm never quite sure how to take compliments from children.
...are they real...or just another from of "goo-goo gah-gah"?
Without the explosions out the back end.
Hopefully.
I guess being 21 does make me a child still huh.....
Compared to me, you're not even an idea or a baby bill to mommy and daddy yet, cupcake.
...but then again, I discovered dirt.
Oh, alright, I DIDN'T discover dirt....it was Anthony, from Corporate Recovery Services.
You HAPPY, Jaime?
Josh, question: Have you made a Gravatar?
I think you'd like this, and it's completely free: https://gravatar.com/
That way you can brand your name and be properly recognized as you'd like to be seen.
Give it a shot.
I look forward to seeing how this works. You know I'm part of another community that actively encourages comments. It does work. That are people and opinions to be shared!
I look forward to the new views and perspectives shared! What better place to learn and grow in understanding than among friends?
Right?
...so until you find those, I fill in.
(cheeky grin)
[*rolls eyes*]

Then welcome to the conversations, Joshua.
I’m here for it.
(Blink, blink… swipe drool trickle with sleeve) Here!
NATHAN!!!!!!
....you are here.
*sniff* I'm,......so happy you've joined us.
More than you know.
Nathan, can we PLEASE get together when it warms up a tad more?
Families, the girls....anyone who would show up.
....it's been wayyy too long.
Absolutely!
