There is no guarantee of success. No one can promise you that, and if they do…they’re just after your money. There is, however, something you can do to give yourself an ‘unfair advantage’…

Plant seeds.

In today’s episode, we go over the mind shift and perspective to take advantage of tools and resources that far too many authors ignore. You have more options and control in your hands, than authors have had at any other time in history.

Why not set yourself up for success?

Heh...I still find it odd, that a platform that I'm using and enjoying so much, still doesn't have a name that resinates with me.

Yet it's 'odd' enough and I have enough confusion over the name, I have conversations all the time about it...so you can't forget it!

I just think of it rhyming with lo-fi so because how it's spelled. They were clearly trying to be coffee though, given the mug, but there was already a buymeacoffee site before this (in the days of old) and I think it's still running. They had to spell it different as not to get mixed up. 😜

You are spot-on correct with all of that.

...I didn't think of the ;o-fi (as in the music, correct?).

Yes, there's buymeacoffee still, https://buymeacoffee.com/jaimebuckley but I've never had much luck with it. Ko-fi has been huge for me. Funny part is, I had my buymeacoffee account much longer than the ko-fi one.

...interesting.

Of course lol. Ko-Fi is better in my opinion as well. More discoverability, more features, easier interface.

And yes, the music 😁

I think the biggest takeaway that I got from this is, Be yourself, put yourself and your story out there and then step back into your "den," your hub, the place where you hang out, and wait for the right people to find you.

Yes, that is the most important part. If you don't put yourself out there though, it'll likely never happen.
