Morning Coffee 65: 2025...It's a New Year!

What happened in 2024 and what will happen in 2025?

Hey there, friends.

It’s the first video of 2025, and yes, I look a bit scruffy, but hey, life’s about showing up, right?

This one's personal.

We’re diving into lessons from the past month and year—realizing what matters most, embracing family, and adjusting priorities. It's a recap of growth, challenges, and a celebration of the kindness and love we’ve shared.

Let’s talk about rolling with life’s punches, making connections, and always striving to be better. So, grab your coffee (or Postum if you’re like me) and join me for a chat about life, love, and learning.

Oh, and shoutout to Simon for this awesome mug!

Video Summary:

  1. New Beginnings: It’s the first video of 2025, and yeah, I’m looking a little rough, but hey, it’s me showing up for you—imperfections and all.

  2. Family Time: December reminded me of something simple but profound—time with family isn’t just important; it’s sacred. And I’m finally learning to honor that.

  3. Adjusting Priorities: For 30 years, I thought providing for my family meant working non-stop. Turns out, my real job is to be there for them, first and foremost.

  4. Community Bonds: When our washer gave out during the chaos of family sickness, our amazing neighbors stepped in with kindness. That moment? It reminded me how much we need each other.

  5. Challenges & Resilience: Life threw a lot at us—sick kids, grandkids, and just general mayhem—but we made it through. Not perfectly, but together.

  6. Gratitude for Neighbors: You know what I realized? Community isn’t just about proximity; it’s about love in action. My neighbors showed me that in spades.

  7. Spiritual & Personal Growth: I’ve had to accept this humbling truth: I don’t control everything. Sometimes, things just happen. My job is to lean into faith and keep moving forward.

  8. Reader Connection: The encouragement and support I get from you—this community—means more to me than you probably realize. You’re the reason I keep going.

  9. Intentions for the Year: This year, I’m committed to balancing better—more family time, more creativity, and hopefully, a little more sleep. We’ll see how that goes.

  10. Choosing Courage: Fear will always be there, but I’m choosing courage. I’m choosing to lean into life, to embrace the unexpected, and to keep showing up—scruffy or not.

Have a wonderful day and wonderful week!

..and remember:
