Yes, that might be the better lesson. I was pulled over in Beverly Hills once for that, but the nice officer did not give me a ticket. (I must have the Jaime charm.) However... mine was 4 days shy of a full year!!! 😝 My lesson, don't rely on getting the renewal notice to know when your tags expire. If you move a lot, that is, 😏 you might miss a crucial piece of mail. It was painful enough to pay for 2 years at once without getting a ticket.
