I'm glad the cows have finally aligned thanks to Simon. Living out in the boonies sometimes has its difficulties. Glad to have to back, especially in IS ♥️
I WANTED to test play the game I have sitting here....but especially after playing with you, Craig, Jeff, Simon and Evan....I realized what had been crafted is wayyyyy too complicated.
I'm revisiting it to see if I can find a simpler version, of if I need to start from scratch...AND that begs a question: Should I start with a very young version...and then make it slightly more complicated for people like you and me?
Thanks for sharing links and telling everyone about the 2X2 interviews! We need to do one!!! And, I must say that I admire your dedication to record this 3 times. It's worth it! You're the best!!!Love having a coffee with you every Monday!!!!
Agreed - for me another campo living boonies loving person - Starlink has changed everything. For me it was the dropping of the data cap with my previous provider. 300GB per month is just not enough for us - and if you surpassed the limit... DIAL UP SPEEDS!
Can you here the modems now???
However, because we don't do wifi for health reason and our hard wire is old CAT5 I'm not getting the screaming hot speeds you describe though I do know they are there.
For now, I'm just thrilled to have a connection that is way faster and unlimited data. Plus we have geolocated pricing here and so the price is only 3.00 USD more than my old service. Win-Win!
...don't laugh at me for trying to talk tech...but I have this tiny black cord from my Mac to the Startlink router, and I don't use wifi....and I get regular 160mbs
There is, but it requires pulling new cable from about 100 feet away. Your Mac probably has the newer style cable with faster input, and your son bought the adapter for the starlink router, it doesn't come with anything but wifi. And your tech talk is great
I think one thing to remember with the rpg is that it doesn’t have to be complicated, simply because if a player wants more complicated stuff, they can tweak the basis that you provide. I don’t know what you have already, but I’m already excited to see what you come up with

Also....curious, River....didn't you say your mom was 'trying' the digital version of Choices? Is she liking the digital version of reading?
Haven't gotten to jump into yet. Waiting on the new ereaders to come in but we should be reading it soon!
100 - 300 mega bites per second is crazy
And excited to see what you’ll do with the rpg

Thoughts?
I think you should focus on the family as a whole
You could start simple and work it up or something but I don’t know how complex you have it now
Focus on readability and reasonably simple mechanics and the kids imagination will pick up the rest
I would play around with things
I’ve seen card systems where abilities are put on cards instead of just a character sheet to keep things easier to find
That might be an idea?

Is there a way to use better cables?

And yeah, the unlimited data is a dream.

Actually the Starlink came with everything. I had the existing cable from our last company, and I just plugged it into the Starlink Router.
…and thank you. I’m trying.
HAHAHA

Heh...I was going to print t out....then the new ink cartridges cracked and leaked out, messing up my $650 printer.
RARRRRRR!!!!!
