Good morning!
Today's coffee chat is more than just a catch-up—it's a dive into gratitude.
It’s a nod to unexpected kindness.
It’s a reminder that sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest impact.
I share my personal reflections on how incredible support from this community has kept me going, plus a few thoughts on family, friends, and the adventure ahead.
And let me say, your generosity isn't just touching; it inspires every step I take.
So grab your favorite mug, settle in, and let's savor this moment together. Spoiler alert: big plans are brewing!
Here’s the Microwave Version:
Let me start by saying thank you. Really, there’s nothing quite like knowing you have a community that has your back. One of you went out of your way to send me a whiteboard, and the timing was so perfect that it actually left me speechless. I’d been saving up for one, but life happened, funds got redirected, and I just thought, 'Well, maybe later.' And then—bam! There it was, like some magic trick, right when I needed it most. So whoever you are, know that you made my day, my week, my month... Thank you.
I know I talk a lot about taking care of myself, and I’m finally doing it. It’s nothing fancy—just the basics, but they add up. I got up, stretched, took my meds, and I actually slept through the night. One wake-up! If you know my history, then you know that’s like a gold-medal moment for me. For a decade, I’d get up five, six times a night, so this… this is progress. It’s amazing what even a small change like a good night’s sleep can do for your whole outlook.
Oh, and I’m buzzing about a meeting I had last week. It was incredible! I met with some amazing women who gave me some insights that got the wheels turning. I haven’t felt this inspired since 2007—those old Jubilee days! The plans I’m making now feel like something new and exciting, like maybe I’ve stumbled onto something that could be game-changing, for me and maybe even for you all. Stay tuned; I think you’re going to love where this is heading.
Roman, my son, turned ten this week, and let me tell you, he’s been so excited to be in double digits. Double digits! He kept saying, ‘Dad, I’m not just a single digit anymore!’ He has no idea how grown up he makes me feel. And we had this fantastic family time, carving pumpkins, celebrating Halloween, his birthday… It’s those little moments that remind me why I do what I do, and I couldn’t be happier to share them with you.
And finally,…I want to acknowledge just how much you all mean to me. Every kind gesture, every little note, every bit of encouragement—it all adds up, and it keeps me going. Sometimes I feel like you all know me better than I know myself! So I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Because of you, I’m here, doing what I love, and I’m so grateful for that.
