I am the same way with pledges. I literally "never say never" cause anything can happen. I also don't say "I promise" lol. I say "I will try my best". XP I was very annoyed at the pledge thing as well, but I, like you, have always pressed hard to make Diamond. The first year, I don't even think I made a pledge. That was the only time I got Copper because I didn't even know what I was doing as I'd recently joined and wasn't all that active in the community. Diamond all other times, and I know I made a pledge for those. It's good to be a man of your word! But, I always encourage others not to beat themselves up about something if they discover later they aren't quite able to accomplish what they set out to do, but I don't provide the same leniency to myself. šŸ˜…

Nevertheless, I'm glad you finally finished camp! and accomplished your goal I do pray you take good care of yourself though. Rest those eyes and hands. Do something for yourself. And, yeah, perhaps you should get that stuff checked out. šŸ˜…

BTW, I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I also had to rewrite my books in first-person because it's told better that way...I wanted it like that originally...but, then, I thought it was weird because Someone doesn't share information like that with people, so why would he be telling you? lol but then my voice actor Jon said he wanted to narrate the book and he sent me a sample and I was like, NO you CANNOT do this in third person lol. So I fast-forwarded to a point in time where Someone would tell a certain person about stuff, then retroactively made the book (because it's kinda his origin story so, chronologically, it goes first anyways, even though he doesn't tell anybody until VERY LATE)--but these are writer shenanigans that are getting twisted and confusing lol so I'll stop here. šŸ˜ To end it all, God bless and much success to you with your endeavors! Also, honestly, do get some rest. Sending love and hugs!

You, little sister, are wise.

You know what would ah e made this year perfect for me,...and you just now helped me realize it?

If I had not made a pledge, but rather a post in happiness and my craziness with all my hopes and what I would shoot for.

Thatā€™s it.

Share what Iā€™d like to have happen and then say ā€œletā€™s see what happens!ā€

I can almost guarantee with that shift in mentality and attitude, I still would have made diamond, BUT had a blast from the start.
